FREMONT LIVE/WORK SPACE

Inspired by the warehouse living depicted in the 1981 French film DIVA‚ this live/workspace is organized into two types of spaces. The curved roofed‚ Cor–Ten steel wrapped structure provides an open “stage” for the client’s various projects‚ which become a part of everyday living. Two squash–colored stucco blocks enclose the “backstage” (kitchen‚ bathroom‚ storage) and a vertical library that marks the entry.
