BALLARD BUNGALOW

The upstairs of this 1914 craftsman remodel entailed a ‘gentle undoing’ of 80 years of ‘updates’ by well intentioned homeowners. The original plaster walls‚ doors‚ and trims were refurbished. The drop ceilings and wall to wall carpet was removed, restoring the feel and charm of this classic bungalow. The daylight basement became home to a needed third bedroom and second bath. The remaining space was left open as a flexible ‘studio’ space that could adapt as spatial and family needs evolve.
