MORSE CREEK HOUSE
The dramatic presence of the Olympic Mountains
and surrounding forests is the source of two languagesone
of stone and one of woodwhich articulate the houses
form materials and detail. The nature of stone inspires two
graygreen stucco masses that emerge from the sites ancient
bed of glacial moraine. These thickwalled monoliths mediate
a group of large boulders near the sites entry and the mountains
beyond.
